What is Raindrop Technique?
RAINDROP Technique™ is a unique essential oil treatment expertly organized by Young Living founder D. Gary Young. Raindrop involves the amazing power of essential oils (which are dispensed in small, rain-like drops about six inches above the spine), mixed with a variety of healing & massage techniques, including back massage and foot Vita Flex massage.It is a form of aromatherapy, but referred to as essential oil sciences.

The RAINDROP Technique™ can be used as a tool to provide a healthy balance to the body.
Raindrop incorporates certain Native American concepts, including a special form of massage called “feather stroking” which is similar to a massage technique called “effleurage”.
Raindrop Technique (RT) is a powerful, non-invasive tool for assisting the body in correcting defects in the curvature of the spine by utilizing the anti-microbial nature of essential oils.
RT utilizes undiluted essential oils consistent with the French model for aromatherapy (the most practiced and studied model in the world). Illustrious French physicians (Rene Gattefosse, PhD; Jean Valnet, M.D.; Jean-Claude Lapraz, M.D.; Daniel Penoel, M.D.) have consistently recommended neat (undiluted) use of essential oils with over 40 years of clinical experience.

WHAT RAINDROP INVOLVES

Step 1- The oils are applied on your feet before application to the back, using a specific technique called Vita-Flex.

Step 2- The oils are dispensed in little drops from about six inches above one's back, hence the name Raindrop.
French System

Undiluted essential oils are what make this technique unique. It's based on the French model for applying oils – the most extensively practiced and studied model in the world. (This model is taught at the Institute of Energy Wellness Studies - the only institute in Canada teaching/certifying Raindrop Technique.)

Step 3 - Then, the oils are gently feathered and massaged along your spine and back muscles.

Step 4 - After the back is oiled and massaged the session ends with the Finger Pull Technique. This is a Lymphatic Pump technique, which is performed at the occiput (the upper neck-skull area), with the recipient/student face-up. The intent is to help the body move stagnant lymph fluid, to leave the body feeling more alive, cleansed and revived.

Vita-Flex Technique
Vita Flex Technique
The Vita Flex Foot Chart (see pic of foot chart) outlines the corresponding reflex organ points.
The Vita-Flex Treatment is based on a complete system of internal body controls. When properly applied through specific application of hand rotation movements and control points, a vibrational healing energy is released through the electrical impulses by the contact between the fingertips and the reflex points.
This stimulates an electrical charge that follows the neuro pathways of the nervous system to where there is a break in the electrical circuit.
​Combining the electrical frequency of the oils and that of the person receiving the application creates rapid and phenomenal energetic results.
With Vita-Flex, the weakened or injured areas are energized on the electrical reflex points thus preventing further injury and less stress allowing for quicker and more efficient healing. The body heals itself.

UNIQUE: Dr. Sabina DeVita Ed.D., founder of the Canadian Federal approved institution-Institute of Energy Wellness Studies Inc. - was the only Canadian chosen to be trained in the initial group by D. Gary Young in 2007 to receive an Instructor's Certificate in Raindrop Technique. All of the facilitators/instructors involved with 'Integrated Aromatique' and the Institute of Energy Wellness Studies are trained to use the same original and specifically French techniques as taught by D. Gary Young.

EXPERIENCED: Dr. DeVita not only practiced Raindrop over many years with many of her clients but she received detailed notes and instruction in her 4 day teacher training class with D. Gary Young , the creator, in Ecuador which is still used in all of her classes today. Her facilitators/instructors with years of applied experience uphold the same standards and instruction.

PROFESSIONAL: All of our classes and training are professional, organized and detailed with printed materials along with a power-point instructional presentation. Students learn more about the Young Living essential oils and their benefits while learning Raindrop Technique.

CLINICAL-OFFICE PROTOCOLS: Students will learn how to greet, instruct and guide a new client with the use of various forms. Students will also learn the importance of 'detox' or the 'healing crisis'- (known as the Herxheimer effect in homeopathy) and the classical signs to know in guiding clients at various stages of their health concerns.
A Healing Crisis is often stated that. 'You may feel worse before you feel better'. It is known that in re-balancing your body to good health you may experience some temporary pain or discomfort. These discomforts decrease and eventually vanish.

PRACTICAL & PERSONAL: Our classes involve a lot of hands-on during the 4 day training. Each day, students will be actively involved in giving and receiving Raindrop. We keep our classes small (no more than 10 students) with 2 instructors to maximize supervision and detailed one-on-one guidance and support.

VISUALS: Dr. DeVita will provide visual documentation as to the changes in the Bio-Field or Energy Field (via the use of the Bio-Well Kirlian camera) as well as the physical-emotional ones. Her years of experience with the Bio-Well camera and Raindrop does make for a most intriguing presentation.

ORIGINAL STANDARD VERSION: The late D. Gary Young is the creator & founder of the Raindrop Technique.™ In June 2007, he initiated and established a world standard so he handpicked a small group of Young Living members (9) already teaching RAINDROP TECHNIQUE™ from around the world to continue to represent, teach and certify according to his new standard. A few more were later added to the list and certified later that year. Dr. D. was invited to participate in the Instructor training held in Ecuador. She was certified by D. Gary Young as a 'Certified Raindrop Instructor'. She introduced this standard, which encompasses much more than distributor Raindrop training into her school (Institute of Energy Wellness Studies -I.E.W.S.) program later that year and has offered certification for Raindrop Technique™ - as a Professional Standard ever since as an independent certification or as part of the 'Integrated Aromatique' I.E.W.S. program!
